The Paddle Steamer Jeanie Deans was my favourite  Clyde steamer when I was a
boy in the early 1960’s. Some of my earliest happy memories are of sailing on her with my father.
I was lucky enough to be able to visit her and get on board in the Albert Harbour,
1965, not long before she left the Clyde for the last time. There is a series of slides of that visit which will be added to the site soon, but if you visit the Albert Harbour link there are already some of the pictures there.
The Leaving Rothesay link is a series of 4 picture of the Jeanie Deans leaving
Rothesay in 1961. I think it’s likely that Rothesay Bay (2) should have been a 5th picture in the series, but I can’t be sure.
