 A couple of shots of Millport puffers 1963.
The one on the left is the Saxon was the puffer that ‘acted’ the role of The Vital Spark in the early 1960’s TV series of the same name.
The second shot shows another puffer which I don’t think is the Saxon, but had obviously just finished filming as the lifeboat still bears the name ‘Vital Spark’.
I know that other puffers were used in later series, but the Saxon was the original Star of the show.
